Arabian Cement Company opens its Second Production Line in its Plant in Suez

Arabian Cement Company (ACC) announced the official opening of its second production line in its plant located in Suez governorate which doubles its production capacity to 5 million tons per year and creates 850 job opportunities, making ACC an employer of around 1700 workers both directly and indirectly. The announcement was made by Mr. Jose Maria Magrina, ACC CEO, in a press conference attended by General Ismail Al Nagdy, President of the Egyptian Industrial Development Authority (IDA), and Mr. Fidel Sendagorta, the Spanish Ambassador in Egypt.
“We are extremely pleased to announce opening our second production line, which will increase our production capacity, bringing us one step closer to becoming among the largest cement producers in the market. We have already finished the commissioning of the second line, and are now ready to produce high quality cement products,” said Jose Maria Magrina, ACC CEO.
“As a leader in the cement sector, we are constantly keen to implement the latest techniques in our production process. By using alternative fuel in our plant, we contribute in limiting the harmful effects of the cement industry on the environment.” During the press conference, ACC also showcased the benefits of converting to an alternative fuel system, which it’s planning to implement in both production lines; aiming to reduce gas consumption to make the plant more environmentally friendly.
Since commencement of its business in Egypt in 2007, ACC has been committed to operate according to the highest standards in the sector in order to offer high quality cement. The company is also keen to take the necessary measures to limit effects of the plant on the environment.
